Krishn Anand Tripathi the chairman of DUFC has a vast experience in fields of infrastructure,
management, sports, sports nutrition and aviation and has companies based out of India, Dubai and United States. Krishn hails from a very well renowned family in India and has been actively involved in various philanthropic and humanitarian activities through their charitable organization JKP which aims to provide free healthcare and education to the poorest of poor in India. Creating value for the community are virtues Krishn has grown up with, so being a part of DUFC came naturally to him he saw it as an immense opportunity for nurturing talent and popularizing the sport of football in Delhi. An avid athlete and fitness enthusiast, Krishn actively promotes the role of diet and nutrition not only for professional athletes but also for individual seeking an active lifestyle and has been propagating nutrition awareness through his supplement companies. Development of athletes particularly excites Krish and he intends to use his expertise to inculcate proper nutrition regimen right from the nascent stages of training a player which will enhance the chances of each academy player to pursue a professional career. His role at Delhi United is not just limited to investment, he leads the management and gives direction to the team in areas like sales relationships, marketing, training, sports nutrition, strategic partnerships, and works relentlessly towards fulfilling the greater goal of successfully steering DUFC to the top flight of national football league and the being champions of I-league by 2020. The ultimate goal is to get the promotion to the I-league,” he says. “We will also continue to prioritize plans to popularize football in Delhi and to develop grass root and ladies football in Delhi. Dr. Sandeep Kumar


Dr. Sandeep Kumar President of DUFC, worked as a sports medicine specialist since 2008, and for more than two years he was the team doctor for Indian National Senior Football Team and currently he is the Team Doctor for India U17 National Team which is going to take part in FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 in India.
Dr Sandeep apart from being part of national football teams he was a team doctor for Goa FC (Indian Super League), Pro Kabaddi League, Kick Boxing, Wrestling League, etc.
From his younger days, has been a part of the sports set up, and he is a real asset to any sports organisation because of his vast experience and expertise in the field of Sports Medicine.

Founded by Mr. Lal Bahadur Basnet in 1995, it was a club committed to Gorkha community. It was playing in the lower division of DSA league till 2008. In 2009 team finally broke into the top tier of Delhi League.

Champions of DSA League

DUFC was the champion club of Delhi for the first time, a truly significant year in the club’s history and by winning the Delhi Super League title, DUFC captured the attention of local Delhi fans in a big way and then onwards Delhi United started getting an invitation to play in various All India competitions.


Fulfilled Asian Football Confederation Licensing Criteria

For the first time DUFC participated in 2012 in the 2nd Division and were the best team from North India in the 2nd Division.


Inception of Delhi United Cup

DUFC organised first inter-academy youth competition, called Delhi United Cup in Delhi at Ambedkar Stadium. It was a well-attended youth competition and the overall response was fabulous.


Fulfilled Asian Football Confederation Licensing Criteria

DUFC fulfilled the AFC Licensing criteria and the DUFC Academy was accredited by AIFF. DUFC U18 team performance was also noteworthy and the U13 team also won the important local competition in Delhi.


Rise of DUFC under BS Mehra

Mr. BS Mehra’s contribution is immense in the rise of DUFC from 2002 to the first quarter of 2017. The ex-chairman played a key role in the growth of the club. It is his effort which resulted in DUFC moving up the Delhi League ladder – from a C Division to the Senior Division of the DSA League. Delhi United became one of the most valued clubs in Delhi under his leadership because of Mr Mehra’s hard work, passion, investment and the time he has given for the club all these years. He was a man with a mission to take Delhi United to a real force and had the ambition to play in the premier league of India.

Strategic Goal

  • DUFC to start a village football project by July 2017 to connect with Village population and empower village community through football
  • DUFC to enter into a strategic partnership with one of the best European Clubs by January 2018
  • DUFC to establish an Elite football academy for the age group of Under 16 by August 2018
  • DUFC to launch women’s football team and establish girls’ grassroots centre by August 2018
  • DUFC to engage 25000 youth in various DUFC training programme by the end of 2019

To be the champion club of India by 2024

DUFC plans to engage 25000 youth through its various coaching programme by December 2019. Currently, DUFC operates four non-residential academies in the age group of 4-19 years for both boys and girls. Overall, 300 players are undergoing training in the four different DUFC academies in the National Capital Region.

DUFC youth teams would be participating in various youth competitions across India, and there is also a plan to take the youth teams to compete in select International Youth Competitions in Europe and Asia, starting from June 2018.

DUFC U13, U15 and U18 teams would be participating in the Youth I-League organised by All India Football Federation.

DUFC plans to launch Under 11 boys and girls team and encourage children as young as 4-year-old to play football through DUFC Kindergarten Football School.

Currently, DUFC academies are operational in Noida, Dwarka, Kapashera (Pushpanjali Farms) and Gurgaon. Very soon DUFC Academy will be operational in Faridabad, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad locations as well.

Elite Football Academy

One of the priority goals of DUFC is to establish an elite football academy for highly talented Under 16 age categories by August 2018. Best of 20-24 players will be selected after a countrywide scouting programme. Selected players will receive free world-class training and education for 3-5 years.

Residential Football Programme

A residential programme in partnership with a boarding school will be initiated from March 2018 where interested players will be able to get world class training and at the same time study in one of the best boarding schools in the National Capital Region. Players in the age group of 12-18 will have the opportunity to be part of the residential football programme.

DUFC training programme is one of the best in India and the programme is designed by a group of international experts. DUFC coaches are well trained to provide a scientific training to players and the entire Academy programme is holistic in nature.


DUFC provides an annual scholarship to players who are highly talented and show great potential in the beautiful game. The scholarship is granted to select players from economically weaker section of the society to cover the cost of school education.

International Partnership

DUFC is in advance talks with few top clubs from Europe and the idea behind the partnership is to provide greater exposure and improving opportunities for local players.
